Karen Orozco

Karen Orozco, MBA, RT (R) (CT)

Outpatient Imaging Operations Manager

Karen has been an employee with Midland Memorial since 1991. She earned her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology and her Bachelor of Applied Technology in Business -Organizational Management from Midland College. Karen also has her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Texas Permian Basin. Karen has been a long-standing member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT).

 
Misty Egge

Misty Egge, BAT-OM, RT(R)(M)

The Breast Center Supervisor

After graduating with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology from Odessa College in 2000, Misty Egge started her career at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews, Texas working as a radiologic technologist. In 2001, she began performing mammography. In 2006 her career led her to Midland Memorial Hospital. Misty took a position as the supervisor of breast imaging in 2011. In 2015 she started her bachelor's degree at Midland College, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Organizational Management. She has helped with the accreditation of American College of Radiology Designated Comprehensive Breast Center and the designation of Center of Excellence with National Quality Measures for Breast Centers. Her love and compassion for helping others has guided her breast imaging career for over 20 years. With many more years to come, she is excited to see what will be on the forefront of technology and help guide more patients along their journeys.

 
Ashley Chavez

Ashley Chavez, BSN, RN

Radiology Nurse Manager

Ashley has been employed with Midland Memorial since 2022, serving as the Nurse Manager for the Radiology department since 2023. She is currently enrolled in an MSN/MBA program through Southern Utah University. Ashley obtained her BSN from the University of Arkansas and her ADN and LVN from North Arkansas College. Ashley is a member of the Association for Radiologic and Imaging Nursing (ARIN), Texas Nurses Association (TNA), American Nurses Association (ANA), and the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

 
Jenifer Dumire

Jenifer Dumire, BSN, RN, CVRN-BC, CN-BN

Genetic Nurse Navigator

Jenifer Dumire has served as a Patient Navigator for The Breast Center at Midland Health for 10 years and been a nurse for 30 years. She implemented and manages the high-risk breast clinic and genetic testing program. Jenifer received her post-graduate certification in Genetics and Genomics from Stanford University and is certified in Cancer Genetic Risk Assessment from the National Consortium of Breast Centers. She is a graduate of City of Hope Intensive Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment program and a member of the City of Hope Clinical Cancer Genomics Community of Practice. Jenifer currently serves as Co-Chair for the CGRA (Cancer Genetics Risk Assessment) Committee for the NCBC (National Consortium of Breast Centers).

Jenifer is a recognizable national speaker in the topics of breast health, including risk assessment and genetics.  She brings education through community outreach, identifying patient populations that are underserved to reach those patients with early detection by education through churches, civic gatherings and health fairs. She is willing to bring education to the general population as well as the medical community concerning high risk monitoring and the need for genetic testing.

 
Kirsten Snider

Kirsten Snider, BSN, RN, OCN

Nurse Navigator

Kirsten has been employed with Midland Memorial since July 2024. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with the University of Texas at Arlington. She has her certification in Oncology Nursing since 2012. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society.

 
Tammy Watters

Tammy Watters, RN

Nurse Navigator

Tammy started her healthcare career at Midland Memorial as a Nurse Tech working the night shift as she earned her associate degree in nursing from Midland College. After graduating from Registered Nursing school, she continued to work as an Oncology Nurse at MMH. Tammy left the hospital to pursue a career in Hospice and Palliative Care and spent 14 years working for a local hospice. Before she came to The Breast Center to become a Nurse Navigator, she worked at Texas Oncology for 8 years. Tammy was born and raised in Midland, and supporting our community is very important to her.
