Dr. Jessie Dickens is a sports fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon in Midland, TX serving the entire West Texas Region. He treats a variety of orthopedic conditions including joint replacement, minimally invasive shoulder and knee surgery, and general orthopedics.

Dr. Dickens is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon and has completed sub-specialty training in Sports Medicine surgery at the world renowned Lake Tahoe Orthopedics Sports Fellowship which gives him the ability to treat all aspects of knee, hip, and shoulder problems in athletes and non-athletes of all ages.

During his training he has worked with numerous athletes including the Texas Tech University Football Team and most recently served as a Team Doctor for the USA Ski Team. Currently he enjoys serving as Team Doctor for the Midland Lee Rebels and Trinity Chargers.

He received bachelor and master's degrees in electrical engineering and completed his medical degree at UT Southwestern. His background in engineering along with his training at one of the premier sports medicine fellowships in the country makes him uniquely qualified to treat a vast array of orthopedic problems.

Q: What is your specialty?
A: Sports injuries, arthroscopic shoulder, hip and knee surgery, trauma, general orthopedics, and joint replacement.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I have been blessed with two kids, Ashley and Landen. I enjoy spending time with my family, being involved in church and the kids' school, and outdoor activities such as golfing, wakeboarding, snow skiing, hiking and fishing.

Q: What brought you to Midland?
A: After growing up in Texas, I knew I wanted to stay. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to meet my beautiful wife, Jennifer--born and raised in Midland. With many friends and family in the area, we visited many times and knew that the sense of community and special people only found in West Texas would make Midland the ideal place to finish raising our kids.
