Adult Volunteers

The Midland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is looking for adult volunteers age 18 and above to continue the legacy of support for our hospital! Volunteers are required to attend orientation and annual education updates, wear uniforms, pay $7 for annual dues, and attend five general meetings per year. Orientation for new volunteers are held monthly.

Volunteer Activities

  • Information Desk: greet visitors and take them to destinations and lookup patient room numbers.
  • Surgery Waiting Room: staff the surgery waiting room and act as a communication link between waiting families and the operating room techs and doctors.
  • Gift Shop: staff the gift shop and sell items. Proceeds are returned to the hospital in the form of equipment.
  • Popcorn Station: run the popcorn machine and sell to guests.
  • Golf Cart Transport: bring visitors back and forth from the parking lots to the hospital.
  • Magazine and Book Delivery: stock the waiting rooms with reading material for our guests.
  • New Mother Gifts
Shifts are 4 hours once per week. Weekday and evening shifts are available, as well as weekends.
