As a standard course of business, we are in the process of negotiating a new, fair contract that will allow us to continue to offer in-network care to BCBS TX’s members.
Currently, negotiations include all BCBS TX commercial plans – PPO, HMO, Blue Advantage HMO (BAV), and the Federal Employee Program (FEP). Midland Health is not an in-network provider for BCBS TX’s Medicare Advantage or Medicaid plans.
It is our desire to reach agreement on new terms prior to February 15, 2025. If agreement cannot be reached, Midland Health will be out-of-network for BCBS TX members effective February 15, 2025. You can find a detailed list of impacted providers and facilities by

Midland Health (Midland Memorial Hospital, Premier Physicians, Permian Cardiology, and West Texas Orthopedics) will be out of network with BCBS TX as of February 15, 2025, if agreement cannot be reached on new terms. Right now, as negotiations are underway, nothing will change for our BCBS TX patients. If you do not have BCBS TX health insurance, you will not be impacted by our current negotiations.
Right now, as negotiations are underway, nothing will change for our BCBS TX patients. Our BCBS TX patients can still choose Midland Health for their health care needs.
If Midland Health cannot reach agreement with BCBS TX, we will be an out-of-network provider for BCBS TX members as of February 15, 2025. You will still be able to receive healthcare services by Midland Health providers. Without a new agreement, out-of-pocket costs for office visits and other services by an out-of-network provider will be higher. The details of your coverage will need to be discussed with BCBS TX, because out-of-network benefits differ from plan to plan.
