Food FARMacy

Food FARMacy is a referral-based program for patients with chronic illnesses.

The program encourages healthy foods as medicine for chronic illnesses

Midland Health and West Texas Food Bank collaborated to bring a Food FARMacy to the Midland community. Nourishing your body with healthy foods is one of the best ways to create a healthier lifestyle.

When visiting the Food FARMacy patients are provided free food demonstrations, education, and plant-based food market to continue a healthy lifestyle at home. Eligible participants can visit the Food FARMacy twice a month for six months after referral. A referral extension to the Food FARMacy is available from a provider’s or case manager’s referral.
