Midland Health is making several advancements towards providing an even higher level of care for children and infants. While a designated space is being developed for newborns who need more specialized care, two board-certified neonatologists, Dr. Eric Sparks and Dr. Thomas Bowman, have been hired to start caring for our younger babies today. A neonatologist is available 24/7 to provide care for more premature infants who would have previously been transferred out. Other capabilities include caring for sicker infants who may be on antibiotics, use a feeding tube, or need respiratory support.
