U.S. Olympic Bobsled Athlete to Speak at Wellness Tour

2014 U.S. Olympic bobsled athlete, Johnny Quinn, will make an appearance at the Wellness Tour on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015.
The Midland Wellness Tour kicks-off at 8:30 a.m. at Centennial Plaza where Johnny Quinn, will join Mayor Jerry Morales, Midland Health
president and CEO Russell Meyers and Midland ISD Superintendent Dr. Ryder Warren, as they declare the third Saturday in September as
Midland's Healthy City Day.
At 11:00 a.m., Johnny Quinn will speak inside of the Midland Center about what it takes to "Think Like a United States Olympian." Johnny will
discuss the mindset, goal-setting strategies and techniques used during his time in professional football and with Team USA. He will address the
daily battles we all face when trying to achieve our goals. Learn how to fight through adversity, navigate obstacles and develop a game plan to align
what you do at home, school, work and in the community. Johnny will also hold a photo and book signing after the presentation.
Johnny Quinn is a 2014 U.S. Olympian in the sport of bobsled. He has traveled the world with Team USA, competing in to Austria, Canada, France,
Germany, Italy, Russia and Switzerland. During the 2014 Sochi Olympics, Johnny became accidentally locked in his Olympic Village bathroom and
had to physically break down the door. The photo of the busted bathroom door has been retweeted over 28,000 times and seen by an estimated 10
million people around the world! Johnny has been featured on CNN, Good Morning America, NBC Olympics, FOX Sports and competed on
American Ninja Warrior. Johnny has toured the White House and met the President and First Lady. He even trained with a S.W.A.T team who
showed him how to properly break down a door with a battering ram. Johnny is the CEO and Founder of The Athlete Watch. The Athlete Watch is a
pro-active leadership course in college recruiting helping student-athletes and their families search for scholarships. Johnny regularly speaks to
audiences of all ages and backgrounds on topics such as: “Goal Setting,” “Game Planning,” “Belief System,” “Faith Testimonial” and “Social Media
Responsibility.”
