Midland Health and Midland College Reopen Radiologic Technology Program to Address Growing Need

Midland Health and Midland College are thrilled to announce the long-awaited reopening of the Midland College Radiologic Technology Program. After 13 years, the program has been resurrected to cater to the demands of the medical community. This strategic move comes as a response to the pressing need for skilled radiologic technologists in the region. Midland Health currently has 20 full-time and part-time positions open, highlighting the immediate demand for skilled radiologic technologists.

On Monday, August 21^st, the class of eleven students will embark on their educational journey within the program. This curriculum will empower students with the skills and knowledge required to excel in radiologic technology. The students will participate in classroom and laboratory sessions at the Radiology Department in the F. Marie Hall Outpatient Center (formerly West Campus). In addition, to provide a comprehensive learning experience, the students will fulfill their clinical requirements at Midland Memorial Hospital, Diagnostic Imaging Associates and West Texas Orthopedics.

The reopening of this program stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts between Midland Health and Midland College. As the program kicks off, both organizations look forward to producing a cohort of skilled professionals who will play a pivotal role in advancing medical imaging and patient care in the Midland community and beyond.
