Project Search Program Begins at Midland Memorial Hospital

Midland Memorial Hospital has partnered with Project Search ®, Midland Independent School District(MISD), PermiaCare, Texas Workforce Solutions and Empowering Hands to make Project Search a reality for our community.
Project Search kicks off at MMH on August 9th with 7 interns. Project Search is a transition-to-work program to assist students (age 18-22) with developmental disabilities obtain job skills that make them marketable in the workforce.
“MMH wants to assist these interns in finding employment and becoming successful in their future endeavors,” said Stephen Bowerman, President and Chief Executive Officer. “After completion of the program, we hope they have gained useful knowledge and feel at home so they can join our MMH family as employees.”
These interns came to us from MISD to complete the one-year employment preparation program. The program will follow the MISD calendar.
