In 2015, Midland Memorial Hospital became a NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) Senior Friendly designated hospital. This designation means we are committed to providing excellent care to our patients 65 years and older.
Our goal is to minimize stress from hospitalization and help patients return as quickly as possible to the level of independence and activity that they enjoyed before their illness. We apply specific interventions to preserve or restore physical and mental functioning. Interventions often include walking, physical therapy, nutritional counseling, medication review and more.
