Shanidy Shook

Shanidy grew up in small town Purcell, Oklahoma. After earning her B.S. from Oklahoma State University, she attended the University of Oklahoma for graduate studies in Anaerobic Microbiology. Shanidy moved to West Texas in 2004 and started her career in the laboratory at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. Having a proficiency for computers, process improvement and troubleshooting, she soon found a position in Information Technology and eventually Director of Enterprise Project Management. During her time there, she earned an MBA from Texas A&M, Commerce.

Shanidy joined Midland Health in 2016 as Director of IT Operations, taking on a new challenge in a different area of IT Operations. She then served as the Director of Applications Services and ACIO. Shanidy is an active member of CHIME (College of Healthcare Information Management Executives) and holds certifications of Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO), and Certified Health Information Security Leader (CHISL).

Shanidy and her husband Brad have four children ages 15-28. Two of them have followed her footsteps in healthcare and one has started a career in Information Technology.
